MEGHAN KING LAUNCHES GAIA HAVEN DAYTREAT
The luxury wellness scene has landed in St. Louis and we’re here for it.
Before we were all rocked by a worldwide pandemic, the self-care industry had grown to more than a $1.5 trillion market in recent years according to Inc. Magazine. Now, more than ever, folks are taking healthcare and wellness into their own hands. But the self-care you may be thinking of—the spa trips, the manicures, and the guiltless shopping trips—are becoming the self-care of yore.
We now know that the connection between a positive mental state, self-care and wellness is not simply anecdotal. After the release of countless research on health, happiness and longevity, like the Blue Zones Project and recent work from Johns Hopkins that positivity is directly related to good health, we know for sure that self-care in specific ways will make our lives better and longer.
St. Louisan, Meghan King, is exploring the link between wellness, self-care and happiness with her new company Gaia Haven Experience. King, perhaps known best for her appearance on the Real Housewives of Orange County, wears many hats. The mother of three, entrepreneur, social media influencer and podcast host, has launched Gaia Haven Experience as a growth retreat to connect with other women focused on changing their mindset.
King’s first highly-exclusive retreat, set with a backdrop of beautiful Sedona, AZ, sold out. Now, she’s bringing a scaled-down version—a Daytreat—to St. Louis on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton.
From 12-5:30pm, those in attendance will mingle with other like-minded women, and partake in a variety of wellness-focused programming including meditation, breathwork, grounding exercises, succulent planting, healthful lunch, a sacred gathering circle, a healing emotional release exercise, and ending with a poolside reception hosted by King.
In addition to the wellness-focused programming, King and her team have partnered with various local vendors and artisans to include a swag bag for attendees and more surprises capturing local St. Louis culture.
